  • This webinar will provide an overview of the 5-E Model of Financial Life Planning – a multidisciplinary, research-based approach to delivering financial planning services to individuals and families. Each phase of this dynamic process – Explore, Engage, Envision, Enlighten, and Empower – plays an indispensable role in facilitating positive change in clients’ personal and financial lives. An introduction to the academic theories and research that have shaped the 5-E model will also be included in this webinar, as well as the opportunity to experience and discuss a variety of tools.

About the Presenter - Amy Mullen

 

Amy Mullen is Vice President of Money Quotient. In this role, she frequently presents at conferences on various aspects of conducting a financial life planning process, understanding financial motivation and change, and creating effective client-planner relationships. She also focuses much of her time conducting trainings, including the "M.Q. Fundamentals of Financial Life Planning" course and the "Empowering Change: Understanding Motivations and Guiding Financial Decision Making" advanced course, as well as providing individualized coaching and consulting with financial planning practitioners. Amy has recently completed the course work for the CFP® designation from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO and will be sitting for the exam in July of 2016. She is also completing an Interdisciplinary Studies Degree with a concentration in “Financial Motivation & Change” at Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego, OR. Amy is a member of the Financial Therapy Association has been an active member of the Financial Planning Association for over 10 years. She serves as Director of Education on the Chapter Board of FPA of Puget Sound, Programs Committee Member for the FPA of Southwest Washington/Oregon, and served as a Task Force member for the National FPA Retreat in 2015.
